During the week of the 10-14th of July , 2022, Isidora Silva-Valderrama attended the IWGTD 2022 in Czeck Republic. This event, held every 3 years, showcases the latest advances and research in Fungal Grapevine Trunk Diseases.

Isidora presented the preliminary results of the 3rd chapter of her Master’s thesis, where we generated a model to predict the severity of the fungal-plant host interaction.

She also had a poster of her 1st and 2nd chapters, for which she also gave a flash presentation. In this case, the main theme was to show how phylogenetics can predict the fungal-host interaction, using the Botryosphaeriaceae family as an example.

She was awarded one of the prizes for the best student presentation.
